Jerome Miller
Mr. Miller has extensive knowledge of the financial sector from his vast experience on Wall
Street. From 1963 to 1988,
Mr. Miller was an instrumental leader at EF Hutton where he served as the Vice Chairman & Executive Vice
President. Mr.
Miller served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors. His responsibilities included managing their
Retail
Brokerage, Retail Branch System and their Marketing and Asset department. Mr. Miller was responsible for the
Equity
Capital Markets for three of those years, including Institutional Sales, Options Trading, Research and
overseeing the
Exchange Floors.
From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Miller served as Vice Chairman & Executive VP of SHEARSON LEHMAN HUTTON and served on the
Executive Committee & Board of Directors. His responsibilities included running their Retail Brokerage Branch
System.
Mr. Miller then presided as President of SHEARSON Asset Management until 1997. From 1997 to present, he sits on
the
Board of Directors of the Legg Mason Equity Mutual Funds.
Richard Hom

Dr. Hom is currently the Optometric Director at Anthem, Inc. He received his B.S. from the University of
California,
Berkeley and his O.D. from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, he was awarded an MPA from San
Francisco State University where his Capstone project was on physician attitudes on the adoption of retinal
photographic
screening for diabetic retinopathy screening. In 2017, Dr. Hom was awarded the Diplomate in Public Health and
Environmental Vision by the American Academy of Optometry. In 2018, he received his PhD in Bioscience from Salus
University and wrote his dissertation on the relationship of social determinants such as food and environment on
function and disability in adults.
Over the last 16 years, Dr. Hom has designed, launched and led photographic screening programs for disease
surveillance
that in each instance are still in operation. His interest in population health in eye care has spurred his
interest in
incorporating identifying “at risk” individuals for future chronic systemic disease in addition to the full
breadth of
optometric care including refractive and medical management of common eye conditions. He currently lectures on
population health, health care systems, and the integration of optometry and primary care medicine.

Dr. Mohammad Rafieetary is a consultative optometric physician who has been in practice at the Charles Retina
Institute
(CRI) since 1996. Dr. Rafieetary is a graduate of Boston University and received his Doctor of Optometry from
the
University of Missouri-St. Louis. He completed a residency in Primary Care Optometry and Ocular Disease at the
Southern
College of Optometry (SCO) and the Memphis Health Center. Upon completion of his residency in 1989, Dr.
Rafieetary
joined SCO’s faculty and served as an Associate Professor and the Chief of Advanced Ocular Disease Service and
at the
Southern College of Optometry until he joined CRI.
Dr. Rafieetary has received several awards including the SCO Faculty of the Year, American Diabetic
Association’s
National Achievement of Distinction Award, and the Tennessee Associations of Optometric Physician’s Optometrist
of the
Year.
Dr. Rafieetary has served on the board of several professional organizations such as the Church Health Center
and the
American Diabetes Association.
Dr. Rafieetary is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and Optometric Retina Society. He is board
certified by
the American Board Optometry as well as the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry. Dr. Rafieetary
is
licensed to practice Optometry in the states of Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Texas.
Dr. Rafieetary is published in numerous professional publications and lectures extensively on the subject of
diseases of
the eye with emphasis on conditions of the retina and vitreous. He was awarded the National ADA Award
Achievement of
Distinction in 2004.
